Born in Italy in 1981, Domenico Zizzi is an International Soloist, Teacher, and Musical Researcher, specialising in the Tuba.

Having studied Tuba at the Hochschule Für Musik in Basel with David Leclair, Zizzi has also had the opportunity to studied under such renowned musicians as:

  • Rex Martin
  • Roger Bobo
  • Alain Cazes
  • David Glidden
  • Robert Tucci

Zizzi is Professor Lecce Conservatory of Music, and works at the Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp in Michigan. Before this, he was Principal Tuba of the Orchestra Lirico Sinfonico Di Lecce.

In addition to this, Zizzi has recorder over 50 records during his career, and has had the pleasure of working with a multitude of Orchestras, including; the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Orchestra in Florence, and the Orchestra Toscanini in Parma.

Finally, Zizzi is the referral for the Historical Regional Bands of Apulia, Music Advisor for the Regional Office of Historical Archives of Apulia, and since 2013 has worked with the Michigan State University on the publication “Solid Brass” – the biography of Leonard Facone.
